5 Closet Organization Tips

closet

I don’t know about you, but my closet seems to be a bottomless pit constantly collecting clothes that will never be seen again. Some of you may have a closet organization that stays neat, and I applaud you for that. I, on the other hand, am flawed when it comes to maintaining an organized closet.

With that said, I am trying my best to keep my closet clean and organized for some time longer than a week! So, let’s see if that is actually attainable for me haha! I bought some closet organization to help me stay on top of an organization and make it easier to put my clothes in a designated place. Without further ado, let’s go over 5 closet organization tips!

Closet Organization Tips:

1. Shelf Dividers

I’ve seen these all over TikTok and let me just say, shelf dividers help so much with stacks of clothes falling over or getting messy! They are adjustable and fit to all different sizes of shelves, making this a versatile and functional closet organizer. You can find shelf dividers on Amazon or at The Container Store.

2. Storage Bins

The classic storage bins never fail! Get some cute ones from Target or The Container Store and your closet will be looking more put together than ever! I got matching storage bins to store my tank tops and shorts. Additionally, I bought some clear acrylic stacking shelves to hold my t-shirts. If there’s one thing about t-shirts, I can never seem to keep them folded neatly in stacks. I just slide these bins on my shelves next to each other and boom, immediate organization!

3. S hooks for Pants/Jeans

This might be the most genius closet organization hack in the books! I’ll include a picture below of how you can use S hooks for jeans. The difference it makes in the way your closet looks is undeniable! I ordered my S hooks on Amazon for a great price. This closet organization tip is quick, easy, and affordable! Also, just a quick tip, button the front button of your jeans, fold them in half to where the front of the jeans are facing out in the back, then hook the 2 back buckle loops with the hook! This way to hang them looks the neatest, but any way you want to do it will work just fine!

4. Shoe Storage

Does anyone else have a million pairs of shoes that seem to lay around on the floor with nowhere to go? Shoe organization will solve all your problems! There are so many shoe racks on the market, and they can even hang from the back of your closet door if you don’t have any floor room. Buying a shoe rack is one of the best ways to keep my shoes in one place where I can easily see each pair!

5. Big Baskets to Store Extra Shoes/Clothing

I use a huge circular woven basket on my closet floor that is full of shoes. I typically keep shoes in this bin that are out of season or ones I don’t wear as much. As someone with a ton of shoes for every season, using extra floor baskets has been a lifesaver when it comes to utilizing the space I have. Not to mention, it looks super cute on my closet floor!
