WE DID IT! Today officially marks the end of my 8-week blog campaign!
How It All Started
As you may know, I created The LA Style as an assignment in my social media marketing class. For 8 weeks, we were asked to compete with our classmates to drive as much traffic to our blog sites. Each week, we look at our blog website and email analytics to see how we are doing in comparison to other students. We receive a report back on how we are doing and what we need to improve upon. Tracking our analytics every week allowed me to improve my social media strategy and blogging!
What I’ve Learned
Overall, starting The LA Style has been an amazing learning experience! I gained skills in writing and social media marketing to create a platform for sharing my love for fashion and beauty! With my blog, I am now able to say I have first-hand experience with designing a website, blogging, branding on social media, and evaluating analytics. Honestly, I am just so thankful for this entire experience.
What’s Next?
With that being said, The LA Style is not going anywhere!
Even though my class competition is over, I plan to continue The LA Style for as long as I can. It has always been my dream to work in the fashion or beauty world, so getting on here every day to blog seems more like a dream to me! My social media marketing class gave me the push I needed to create my blog and I want to see where it can lead me.
My plan going forward is to continue posting blogs and staying active on my social media! I won’t be posting 2 blogs a week like I was during the campaign, but I will try to post as often as I can each month.
